Execution

How are my orders executed?

Market orders are executed at the best price available in our engine at the moment your order is processed. Stop and take-profit orders become market orders when your level is reached. Take-profit and limit orders are measured on this page against the exact level you set, so you can see how often you did better than your target.

What is slippage?

Slippage is when the price you get is different from the one you requested. Sometimes it works in your favour, sometimes not, especially during fast-moving markets or news. We show you both sides, so you know exactly how often each happens.

Why is execution speed shown as a median?

The median is the speed of a typical order: half of orders were faster, half slower. Averages can be dragged around by a handful of unusual orders, so the median is the honest number. We also publish the share of orders filled in under a second.

How often is this page updated?

We update these numbers every month, within the first ten days, using the same records our team relies on.
